I have a small cross cut tenon saw that belonged to my step grandfather who was a cabinet maker. It is marked H McManus on the handle (that was his name) and “1945” on the blade which I assume is its year of manufacture. I finally got round to sharpening it today. I tend to put this off probably because I don’t feel very confident and think I might make it worse rather than better. This is silly as its really not that hard. It is in regular use which is as it should be.
