Our French house has several inset windows which are just perfect for a window seat. So here is my first attempt.
I’m happy with the top but the front might look better if constructed with a frame and panels or maybe just vertical tongue and groove boards nailed to the under-frame.
The bottom of the front needs finishing off to match with the skirting boards, but the existing skirting is cheap and nasty so I’ll finish it off when I replace the rest of the skirting.
Apologies for the quality of the photos but it’s a window seat so has a window right behind it.
5 more inset windows to go. I’m thinking of having a back rest on the next one.
